На Западе Артемьев до сих пор считается синонимом для одного из основных столпов электронной музыки, что в основном идет от обоих "классических" фильмов Тарковского "Солярис" (СССР, 1972) и "Сталкер" (СССР, 1980) наряду с его более ранними композициями, такими как музыка, открывающая Олимпийский Игры 1980 года в Москве. В обоих фильмах он делают основную ставку на доминирующие звуки синтезатора, которые дополняются соответственно мелодично (цитаты из Баха в "Солярисе") или колыхаще-монотонно ("Солярис" и "Сталкер"), а также при помощи избранных инструментальных аспектов (медитирующие дзен-звуки и перекрывающие их азиатские струнные инструменты и флейты в "Сталкере").

 Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich, sometimes rendered Fedor, (born 14 April 1976, in Moscow, Russia; lives between Moscow, London and São Paulo) is a performance artist writer, theater director and filmmaker. His most recent artistic works include Hygiene (2009), a performance at Deitch Projects, NYC; as well as My Mouth Is a Temple (2009); an installation/performance curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and Maria Balshaw, part of Marina Abramovic Presents (Manchester International Festival, UK); and Whose Smell is This? (2010), a site specific installation created for the wall next to the public toilet as a special project for Armory/Volta art fairs, NYC. His work is a part of the book ‘Marina Abramovic And The Future Of Performance Art’ published by Prestel (2010). Pavlov-Andreevich’s performative works explores and extends the relationship between the hidden and the exposed. |
